The role that insects play in our lives and their importance to humanity is a complex of various fundamental components that affect humanity and its life on our planet (Einstein: If the bee disappeared from the face of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live). Within the current themes of the environment, climate and human responsibility for destroying our environment in a way that is leading to the extinction of many species, students are given the opportunity to explore important themes in the life of insects in science subjects, but also to express their feelings and attitudes in art, literature and humanities subjects to develop a holistic view of the value of insects, especially bees, to humanity. Subjects in which pupils will explore the role of insects in human life will include skills acquired in environmental formation and ecology, biology, chemistry, agriculture, geography, ICT, languages, history, literature, philosophy and art. Pupils from the 3 partner institutions will share their experiences of global problems related to the lack of bees and important insects that are indispensable for life on our Earth. Students will verify scientific facts about pollinating insects (bees, bumblebees), their habitat and evolution, uses, threat of extinction, etc.
